Compensation and Benefits (C&B) is part of JTI’s overall HR strategy, which aims at creating tangible business results through adequate succession planning and career management. C&B solutions are integral to attracting and retaining the right people at JTI. We need high quality people who can successfully drive today’s business while building the future and cope with the everyday challenges of our industry.
Our C&B philosophy states that we will design, communicate, and implement C&B solutions that enhance employee performance and therefore JTI’s performance. In order to achieve this, we must:

The broad scope of our C&B activities includes base pay management, incentives, and benefits. In terms of implementation and execution, a maximum of accountability is given to our local organizations, which successfully integrate JTI’s corporate Compensation & Benefits principles with local market practice.
Increasingly important to our globally mobile employees and their families, international assignment (IA) management plays a critical role in our overall HR strategy. More specifically, JTI operates a global employment company for our mobile IA talent group. This global employment company follows our employees and their families wherever their careers take them - and this without interruptions to their pension or medical insurance coverage!
