An SMT oven, also known as a reflow oven, is a crucial device in the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) process. It plays a key role in soldering surface – mount components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Equipped with multiple temperature zones, an SMT oven can precisely control the heating process. During operation, the PCB with components attached passes through these zones in sequence. First, in the pre – heat zone, the temperature gradually rises, eliminating moisture in the solder paste and ensuring a stable start for the subsequent process. Then comes the reflow zone, where the solder paste melts, creating a firm connection between components and the PCB. Finally, in the cooling zone, the board cools down, solidifying the solder joints.
Advanced SMT ovens often feature intelligent control systems, which can accurately adjust temperature and conveyor speed according to different production requirements, ensuring high – quality soldering results.
